Important Service Announcement

[Updated March 16, 2020]

Dear Members of the Tufts Community:

Effective immediately, the International Center's offices at our Medford, Boston Health Sciences, and Fletcher School locations are transitioning to virtual (remote) operations. This step is being taken in response to the March 15 announcement by the University asking all except a few essential staff to start working from home, in order to increase social distancing and reduce the chances of community spread of COVID-19.

While we regret the disruption in service, the International Center remains open during normal business hours (9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday). However, from March 16 until further notice, all walk-in hours and in-person appointments have been canceled, and Center staff will be working remotely. Advisors will be available by appointment only, and appointments will be done by phone or video conferencing using WebEx.

  • Advisors will be available for phone or WebEx appointments, but please follow the scheduling instructions listed below and give us at least 1-2 business days to arrange a time and date to talk to you
  • Fortunately, many of our most common processes are already transitioned to electronic / remote processing. Please read the instructions below.
  • Please bear with us as we transition our workshops to online formats - we anticipate having our most common workshops available on our web site by Monday, March 23
  • If we need to send you updated documents, we will use a domestic or international mail delivery service. For the remainder of March and April, we will send immigration documents both nationally and internationally to current students and scholars free of charge.
  • Once we are able to restore partial or full walk-in service at our different locations, we will notify you by email broadcast.

Please email us at internationalcenter@tufts.edu with your questions and concerns.
