The International Center hopes everyone will have a safe Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. Everyone is encouraged to stay safe by practicing physical distancing, wearing masks, washing hands, and taking other measures to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. We hope you will take this opportunity to connect virtually with family and friends and to enjoy the long weekend to rest and relax.
International Center Hours - Thanksgiving Weekend
The International Center will be closed from Wednesday, November 25 - Friday, November 27. We will reopen on Monday, November 30. Please note that Thursday, November 26 is a national holiday, and November 26 - 27 are University holidays.
Emergency Contact Information
If you have an emergency - including a medical/health, police, or fire emergency - during the holiday weekend, please follow the instructions on our Emergency Contact page.
Travel During Thanksgiving
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent increases in infection rates across the United States, Tufts strongly discourages Thanksgiving weekend travel, even for gatherings in the local area. Students who travel for Thanksgiving may be required to either complete the semester remotely. Please read about Thanksgiving policies by going to Tufts's COVID-19 information site, or consult with your school dean for more information.
If you plan to leave the US during the Thanksgiving holiday and finish the rest of the semester remotely, send an e-mail to email@example.com with full details, including your travel dates and student ID. Please note that you do not need a travel signature to depart the US. The International Center can coordinate delivery of travel signatures to you via email.
What to do on campus (or virtually) while on Thanksgiving break
Whether you are remaining on campus or traveling, Tufts is hosting several events for students to stay involved over Thanksgiving break! Check out this list for a handful of options, and check out the Jumbo Life calendar for more options.
