Three Ways to Support International Students on #TuftsGivingTuesday

Dear Members and Supporters of the Tufts International Community -

Today, November 28 2023, is #GivingTuesday - the international day of giving in support of non-profit and charitable organizations around the world!

Consider making a donation in one (or more) of three different ways to support international students:

• Oliver Chapman Fund - the Oliver Chapman Fund, established in the memory of Oliver Chapman (E '92), provides small emergency grants to international undergraduate students on financial aid who have experienced unexpected need, helping them with costs such as medical or dental bills, winter clothing or food needs, or expensive classroom and textbook purchases.
• Jane Etish-Andrews Undergraduate International Scholarship - established in honor of the International Center's long-time director, Jane Etish-Andrews, who retired in 2018, this endowed scholarship is used to support the education of an international non-immigrant undergraduate student who would be unable to attend Tufts without scholarship support.
• Friends of the International Center Fund - through this fund, the International Center provides small emergency grants to any international student on a non-immigrant visa who may be experiencing unexpected hardship due to medical, personal, or family emergencies.

How to Give

To give to the Oliver Chapman Fund and Jane Etish-Andrews Scholarship:

• Go to https://give.tufts.edu/tuftsgivingtuesday and click on the "GIVE NOW" button
• On the #TuftsGivingTuesday donation form, complete the entries
  • In the "Designation" box, select "Arts, Sciences, & Engineering" (at the bottom of the drop down)
  • Select "Other - please specify"
  • Type in the box the name of the fund (e.g., "Oliver Chapman Fund" or "Jane Etish-Andrews International Scholarship Fund")
  • Designate additional funds as desired
  • Complete and submit the form

To give to the Friends of the International Center Fund:

• Go to https://give.tufts.edu/tuftsgivingtuesday and click on the "GIVE NOW" button
• On the #TuftsGivingTuesday donation form, complete the entries
  • In the "Designation" box, select "University Initiatives" (at the bottom of the drop down)
  • Select "Other - please specify"
  • Type in the box the name of the fund (e.g., "Friends of the International Center Fund")
  • Designate additional funds as desired
  • Complete and submit the form

Any amount that you are willing to contribute in support of our international students in need will be greatly appreciated. Please consider also supporting many of the other worthy causes this #TuftsGivingTuesday!
