There are multiple graduate orientation events arranged by campus and school. Some schools have separate orientation and immigration information sessions which are indicated below.

International Graduate Student Orientation

2:00pm - 4:00pm (Optional Campus Tour from 2:00 - 2:30pm; Orientation begins at 2:30pm)

The International Center hosts a mandatory Graduate Student Orientation to provide essential information to prepare you for life at Tufts. Students from all graduate programs are invited to attend (although see school-specific orientation and immigration events listed below).

  • Meet the staff of the International Center
  • Meet other incoming international graduate students
  • Learn about your F-1/J-1 student visa, and how to maintain your immigration status while studying at Tufts
  • Learn about programs and events on campus led by both the International Center and the Graduate Student Council (GSC)
  • Meet current international graduate students and hear about their experiences

Other School-Specific Orientation and Immigration Information Sessions

Immigration Information Session and Q&A Panel with Returning Fletcher Students

Location: ASEAN Auditorium (Cabot Building)

This session is mandatory for F-1  and Fletcher-sponsored J-1 students. In addition to providing visa information, second-year Fletcher student panels will take the new students’ questions regarding academic-related issues, campus life and the Fletcher community in general.

Meet and Greet for International Students

Location ASEAN Mezzanine

Come to this meet and greet to introduce yourself to second year international students and your fellow new international students over.  The event starts right after the SEVIS information session in the ASEAN Auditorium Mezzanine.
