Traveling to Tufts

Tufts has campuses in Medford / Somerville, downtown Boston (Boston Health Sciences and Boston Fenway), and in the town of Grafton. Read below for directions and arrival information.

Logan International Airport

The main port of arrival in the Greater Boston area is Logan International Airport (BOS), which is served by all major US airlines and many international airlines. From Logan, downtown Boston and most towns in the greater Boston area are easily reached by public transportation (subway), taxis, and private car services such as Uber or Lyft. (NOTE: reserving an Uber or Lyft requires having access to these rideshare apps on an active cellphone so please plan accordingly.)

MBTA Public Transportation (The T)

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), or the "T", operates an extensive network of subways, buses, commuter rail and ferry lines. From the Airport station on the T's Blue Line subway route, you can easily reach downtown Boston from Logan Airport. From there, connect to subway, bus, and commuter rail lines for nearby towns, including Medford, Somerville, Cambridge, Belmont, Malden, Brookline, and others. Note: Students and staff can qualify for discounted rides on the "T" subway system and buses by purchasing a CharlieCard pass through Tufts. For more information about how to purchase a discounted CharlieCard pass, go to the Office of Sustainability's public transportation web site.
