Dear Tufts Students from China:

The Tufts International Center has received messages from students who are concerned about the impact of Presidential Proclamation 10043 on the US visa application process. This proclamation was issued during the administration of former US President Donald Trump, but is still in effect as of today. We acknowledge your concerns and are committed to supporting you as best as we can in this complex and difficult matter.

Right now, we are asking for your assistance in collecting data on how Presidential Proclamation 10043 has impacted visa appointments and visa applications for Tufts University students from China. If you are a Tufts student and are concerned about Presidential Proclamation 10043, or have been directly impacted by Presidential Proclamation 10043, please complete our PP10043 Survey.

Please do NOT complete the survey if you are not a student admitted to Tufts University. This survey is intended for Tufts students only.

The data we collect in this survey will be kept confidential. We will only use aggregate data to track trends and to develop better information to advocate for our students affected by this Proclamation. It is Tufts's commitment to support our international students in their efforts to come to Tufts to pursue their educational plans.

Sincerely,

Andrew Shiotani, Director
Tufts International Center
