Guide to Getting Things Done with the International Center

• Schedule an online appointment with an International Center advisor about almost any matter
• Get a updated travel signature I-20
• Apply for a F-1 reduced course load or J-1 student reduced course load
• Request an I-20 extension
• Request an I-20 for F-2 dependent family members
• Attend an OPT or CPT Workshop
• Start a CPT application
• Start an OPT or STEM OPT Extension application
• Update your OPT employment, STEM employment, and US address information
• Get information about the Social Security Number application process

Scholar and Employee Services (J-1 Scholar / H-1B Employee)

• All scholar and employee services - including advising appointments, workshops, and document requests, are done online. Contact your scholar advisor by email or schedule an online appointment.

Processing and Response Times

In most cases, we are able to respond to online submissions in less than 3 business days, although certain requests may take longer depending on the time of year and the total volume of requests we are receiving. If you do not receive an update within 1-2 weeks, please contact the International Center.

All visitors to International Center offices are asked to consider wearing face masks and observe social distancing requirements.
